Hi! I’m Timothy, a Civil and environmental engineering graduate. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and have been here for most part of my life. I started creating designs for my church and picked up all other forms of interests in the digital space from there.
I’m currently learning motion design and how it intersects with interaction design for smoother experiences. I'm a product designer who helps businesses achieve their product objectives by working closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to make software that's useful, usable, and desirable.
I use research to empathize with users' needs while understanding the holistic business and technical context within which design decisions are made.
I have experience with frontend technologies to help foster my relationship with developers in more technical situations.
I really enjoy being on a team that is designing solutions for a digital product while considering business needs, technology constraints, resources, and priorities.
My Design Philosophy
Seeking clarity and avoiding assumptions
A trip to the database might save the organization a lot of time and resources; sometimes it might mean having to ask a question again.
Feedback and constant iteration
Feedback, either from colleagues or from monitoring how a product is being used, brings meaningful insights on how a product can be improved upon over time.
Most things follows a pattern
Some patterns are more complicated than others. I believe most things follow a pattern, and this mindset helps me get to the root of the problems I'm trying to solve. It's one of my strategies for tackling new challenges.
Embrace Collaboration
Involving others in my workflow makes me see things from other people's perspective and avoid working in a silo, which may open an opportunity to learn something new.
